Decorating with lanterns

This past weekend we had the honor of hanging lanterns for a bride in the large tent at the Marriott Griffin Gate. At our first meeting the bride brought me some pictures she found of a wedding with a large number of lanterns clustered over the dance floor. We planned to do a grid of lanterns over the dance floor with lights in some of the lanterns and fill in the remaining space with just unlit lanterns. We ended up using about 105 lanterns over a 20x20 dance floor.

Paper lanterns can really make a statement in both large and small rooms.  We recommend using larger lanterns to fill a larger space.  This location is a private horse farm in Lexington, KY, the space is a large horse arena.  We only used 6 lanterns over the dance floor, but they are each 4 feet round.

In this large gym we used 30" and 24" lanterns along with drape to bring the ceiling down and create a more romantic feel for a reception.

Even a space with a low ceiling can be decorated with lanterns.  This is the Signature Club in Lexington, KY. We used 3 diffferent colors of lanterns and made a long row across the dance floor.

Lanterns can also be hung in a wedding tent, both with and without lights.

Lanterns come in all colors, a range of sizes and shapes.  We would love to decorate your wedding space with lanterns!
